Plant Manager (Spanish/English Bilingual)

Job Description

We are assisting a client with hiring a Plant Manager for a metal fabrication facility in Valencia, CA. Biligual communication (Spanish/English) required. The position is onsite daily and will be responsible for the following:

Plant Manager Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, interview, hire, and train new staff
  • Oversee production quotas and schedules to ensure inventory and shipment targets are met
  • Collaborate with the purchasing department to verify, maintain, and report on materials and production inventories
  • Facilitate and authorize repairs and maintenance for production tools and equipment
  • Revise and/or formulate policies and promote their implementation across the plant
  • Evaluate overall performance by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data and metrics
  • Need to know Gemba walks, Kaizen event, lean manufacturing.
  • Experience in Sheet metals and similar industry.

Requirements and skills

  • Proven experience as Plant Manager or equivalent position minimum of 5 years
  • Must be self-directed, organized and have ability to work in a fast paced, pressured working environment
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
  • Outstanding communication and people skills
  • Knowledge of industry's legal rules and guidelines
  • In depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles (e.g. supply chain, finance, customer service etc.)
  • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
  • Familiarity with MS Office and various business software (e.g. ERP, CRM, Six Sigma training)
  • BSc/BA in business administration or relevant field; MSc/MA will be a plus
